Healing happens when someone feels safe enough to honestly explore what is within and is able to acknowledge and let go of personal suffering or discomfort.
Nicole earned her degree in Social Work (MSW) through Wilfrid Laurier University in 2003, along with her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology in 1996 from the University of Guelph.
As a Registered Social Worker, Nicole uses a client oriented model in her practice that emphasizes peoples strength and power to be active agents of change in their lives. Many of Nicole's clients struggle with anxiety, depression, grief, and /or are going through life transitions. Those beginning a Spiritual path often find their way to Nicole as well.
She often uses Narrative theory to externalize those elements of our lives that we believe to be the very fibre of who we are but in actuality are outside influences that can affect us and that we have influence over.
She teaches clients that they are much more powerful than they realize in creating their life experience. This is further supported through Systems Theory that demonstrates that when people make small changes in their own lives, those small changes have a significant impact on those systems around them.
Nicole draws from all of her Social Work training in all that she does in her unique style that can make self exploration an exciting adventure, not something to be feared. Many "ah-ha" moments to enjoy!!
